Meet Hariclea — The Heart Behind My Hart Gallery
Through brush, color, and light, I create dreamlike spaces where reality and imagination merge.
Artist Statement
Painting has always been my way of creating a world beyond the ordinary. From childhood, I transformed my surroundings with colors and shapes, covering walls with imaginary places that gave me comfort and beauty during difficult times. That impulse still guides me today: to use color, geometry, and light to build dreamlike spaces where reality and imagination meet.
“Painting has always been my way of creating a world beyond the ordinary.”
For me, home is meant to be a safe place, but it can also hold moments of darkness. My kaleidoscope rooms embody the act of searching for light when it feels hardest to find. They are vibrant, shifting interiors that invite the viewer to step inside, to feel both uplifted and embraced, to experience a place where healing and imagination coexist.
It is not only interiors I transform — but also landscapes and all places tied to both joyful and painful memories. Through color, I reimagine them into happy, luminous spaces, stepping outside the traditional rules of painting to create something freer, more hopeful, and alive.
My studies in Fine Arts in London gave me the foundation to refine my vision while also encouraging me to break away from convention. They deepened my understanding of art’s traditions, but also strengthened my resolve to push beyond them — to paint in a way that feels personal, liberating, and true.
Through my work, I aim to offer others what painting has always given me — a doorway into color, a place of reflection, and a reminder that beauty can be found even in shadow.
